A History of Honor

Welcome to CarolBrass of the Rockies. As you will see, this business mean more to me than just music.

Like many of you I started my career as an aspiring professional musician. Growing up in Denver, CO, I played anywhere and anything I could that paid the bills: wedding, church groups, backup bands, recording gigs, symphony concerts in the park, pit orchestras, and even Taps at Fort Logan National Cemetery.

After several great years I gave up my music career to pursue another passion and joined the US Army eventually serving both in the Colorado Army and Air Force National Guard. This eventually led me to a lifetime of global entrepreneurship and as corporate executive and business owner I have been fortunate to do business all around the globe and travel to over 85 countries (...and counting).

Today I still own several businesses from: high-end outdoor knives, kitchen cutlery, and every day carry items, to custom men’s watches, firearms and accessories.

A few years ago, after over 35 years of silence, I became a comeback trumpet player, practicing daily, playing publicly again, and just trying to be the best trumpet player I can be.  Unexpectedly, at about the same I become involved with the freedom movements in both Hong Kong and Taiwan. After all, without individual freedom there can be no true music as true music comes from the soul.

CarolBrass of the Rockies is a fusion of my life-long passions: music, the trumpet, Colorado, global friendships, and freedom. It is my hope that every CarolBrass instrument we sell helps keep music your music alive and Taiwan free.
